Our rules
Circle Us Up · the short version of who we are and how we behave
We think the best way to meet people is to do something together. Not swiping, not messaging strangers, just circling up and playing. Everything here exists to make that feel easy, fair and safe.
What we believe
- Real life first. The app gets you to the game. The game is where you get to know people.
- Showing up is the whole point. When you circle up, you're making a promise to the people counting on you.
- Everyone starts as a guest and earns trust by playing. Your circle is people you've actually met.
- Safety is built in, not bolted on. Public places, real names, group chats, and help when you need it.
- Simple beats clever. One event, one tap, done. Anything more is your choice to switch on.
- Fair money. You pay for what you play. If it doesn't happen, you get it back.
How we behave, all of us
- Be yourself. Your real first name, over 18, one account per person. If you add a photo, it must be of you.
- Turn up, or tell people early. If you can't make it, leave the event in time so someone else can play. Hosts mark who came; miss two without notice and you'll need to pay in the app to book.
- Be kind to beginners. Everyone was new once. Explain the rules, pass the ball, include the quiet one.
- Keep chat in the event. Talk in the group, in front of everyone. No pestering people privately, no unwanted advances.
- Respect a no. On the court, at the bar and afterwards. Once is enough.
- Meet in public. Events happen at venues, parks and public places. Arrive and leave as you like.
- Respect the venue. Pay what's owed, follow their rules, leave it as you found it.
- No hate, no harassment, no selling. Nothing abusive, discriminatory, sexual or commercial towards other members.
- Look after each other. If someone seems unsafe or unwell, help them or tell the venue.
Hosts and venues
- Describe it honestly. The right level, the real price, the exact meeting point.
- Be there first. Greet people by name and make newcomers feel part of it.
- Handle money cleanly. Book what you said you'd book, and refund fairly if plans change.
- Women-led events are for women only. Only members whose ID check confirms they're a woman can join, and who's going stays hidden until you've joined.
What we promise you
- We never sell your data or show your phone number to other members.
- Names of who's going are only shown to signed-in members, and never for women-led events until you've joined.
- A real person reviews every report, normally within 24 hours.
- If your account is paused, we'll tell you why and you can appeal.
- Every event page says how to pay. Venue sessions: pay in the app, or at the venue if it allows that. Events run by members: your money is held until the event happens. Either way, it's refunded in full if the event is cancelled.
- You can leave an event, block someone or delete your account at any time.
If something goes wrong
Use Report or block on the event page. Reporting someone blocks them straight away, so you won't see each other again, and pauses their account while we look into it. They're told why and can appeal by replying to our email or writing to the contact form at /contact. Serious or repeated breaks of these rules mean a warning, a suspension or removal. If you're ever in danger, call 999 first.
